The 3rd Annual Vermont Quarries Golf Classic in memory of Giorgio Conti
 
Vermont Quarries Corp. hosted it’s 3rd Annual Quarry Tour and Golf Classic honoring RED Graniti’s founder, Mr. Giorgio Conti, Sept. 7th & 8th. There were over 70 attendees this year from around the U.S. The team of Ollie Danforth with a score of 8 under par took home first place followed by Joe Tramuta (New England Stone, CT), in second and the team of Earl Conners in third. Mrs. Franca Conti, the daughter of Giorgio Conti, attended the event for the first time this year.
 
The event started with the golf tournament in the morning, followed by a quarry tour that afternoon. Guests were then treated to the fine Vermont dining experience hosted by Vermont Quarries with the very special help of the staff at the Victorian Inn. All invitees and guests left having enjoyed the festivities thoroughly.
 
Vermont Quarries will be hosting the 4th annual event the week after Labor Day 2008. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in attending.

Detroit Institute of Art
Vermont Danby Marble has been the chosen material by Michael Graves and Associates for both the interior and exterior of the prestigious Detroit Institute of Art. Vermont Quarries Corp is providing up to 70,000 square feet of cut to size exterior Danby panels, of which, approximately 18,000 square feet are bookmatched. There is approximately 30,000 square feet of interior paneling and flooring making up the rest of the building.

The Food Network's All-star Kitchen Makeover
March of 2005 Vermont Danby Marble was the chosen material by Alton Brown (see attached photos) for the Food Network's All-star Kitchen Makeover.
